1918 Victor VV-IX Victrola
Victor introduced the model IX Victrola in 1911 at a cost of $50. This model was an upgrade over other table top models, as it featured a larger cabinet and lid. This particular IX, serial number 398028, dates from around 1918 and is in great condition.
The mahogany cabinet of this IX is very nice. The original finish has been cleaned and polished, and there are just a few light signs of wear over the years. Measures 15 x 17 x 21 inches.
The sound is also great on this machine. The motor has been recently oiled and cleaned, and works fine. Original green turntable felt.
The original Victor Victrola #2 Reproducer has been professionally rebuilt with new gaskets, and the tone is very clear and LOUD!
Famous original decal under the lid.
Original Victor Data Tag.
Victrola with lid closed. Notice that there are a few light finish marks on the top of the lid.
All in all, a great table top Victrola all ready to be enjoyed and displayed in your home or office. Included with this machine is a handful of period 78s and new steel needles. You won't be disappointed with this one!
